Great Divide Tours One Day Fast Track 4WD Training
If you cannot find the time to attend our highly regarded 2 day Nationally Recognised 4WD training course then we now offer the opportunity to learn the basics of four wheel drive operation at our fantastic 4WD training property near Braidwood over one day.
The course will commence at 8.30 am at our property near Braidwood and conclude at 4.30pm. During the day you will learn how your 4WD operates, the importance of wheel placement and how to master this skill, hill climbing and descending along with stall starts for the manual vehicles. We have also included advice on the use of recovery straps, mud driving and water crossings along with the opportunity to experience the incredible four wheel drive trails on our property. Come along to Australia’s number one proving ground for 4WD of the Year testing as used by Overlander Magazine, 4X4 Australia and 4WD Action.
This one day course is self catered but you still have access to our beautifully presented training rooms and dining area.

Where
Great Divide Tours owns an exclusive property on the outskirts of Braidwood
in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Just 3 hours drive from Sydney, 2
hours from Wollongong and 1 hour from Canberra it is ideally located
for easy access. This property has been developed with four wheel drive
training in mind. Fully approved by Council this is a state of art training
facility. It is in a picturesque bushland setting typical of the type
of terrain that you are likely to encounter when using your 4WD. The
nearby town of Braidwood provides fuel, supplies and accommodation.
Camping on the property is included in your training fee cost.
When
The one day courses are conducted on selected dates as indicated on this page.
If you wish to camp over night either before or after the course you
may use our camp ground and facilities for $20 per vehicle.
Bunk House accommodation is also available for $20 per bunk bed (provide
your own linen etc)

a 4WD Driver Training Programme
Please note that whilst the training provided does follow the Nationally
Recognised standard for training in the various aspects of 4WD operation,
no training is provided in sand driving or winch operation and therefore
the course does not satisfy the requirements for issue of a Statement
of Attainment at the Nationally Recognised level. Those wishing to achieve
this or requiring training for employment related purposes should attend
