Kimberley Explorer (26 Days)
To
explore the Kimberley Region you need plenty of time and this trip allows
it.
We traverse the remote Tanami track visiting Wolfe Creek Crater then
Halls Creek, the Bungle Bungles, Kununurra, Lake Argyle, Wyndham, Boab
Prison Tree, El Questro, Emma Gorge, Chamberlain Gorge, Jack's Waterhole,
Gibb River road, Mitchell Falls and Plateau, King Edward River, Kalumburu,
Manning Gorge, Bell's Gorge, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Derby, Broome,
Cable Beach, Cape Leveque, Fitzroy Crossing and Geike Gorge.
Time is allowed for walking and helicopter flights in the Bungles and
the Mitchell Falls, there are two days in glorious Broome, two days
in fabulous Cape Leveque, cruises on Lake Argyle, visit the Argyle Diamond
mine and catch fish that you have only dreamt of catching.
We will see every beautiful and remote waterfall and gorge for which
this area is famous, plus the azure blue sea and white sand of the west

Basic Requirements For This Tour
The 4WD
Suitable to most 4WDrives.
Heavy Duty Off Road Trailers are suitable
Your 4WD should have recovery points located at the front and rear
We recommend heavy duty springs and shock absorbers and a Cargo Barrier
A vehicle pre trip check prior to departure is recommended
Fuel
Total fuel capacity as follows:-
V8 and Straight 6 petrol engines 150 litres
V6 petrol engines 150 litres
4 cylinder petrol and all diesel engines 120 litres
Spares/equipment
A UHF radio – we can hire you a radio
Carry a snatch strap and rated shackles (see our
shop if you need recovery equipment)
Spare Fan belts, fuel filter, oil and brake fluid, 1 extra spare tyre
Spare front and spare rear shock absorbers plus an assortment of shock
rubbers and leaf spring rubbers where fitted
Assorted fuses of 10amp, 15 amp and 20 amp to suit the vehicle plus
spare fuses for UHF radio and fridge
Driver experience
Prior experience not necessary as we will assist you as we go or you might consider attending our driver training course. - Do you require Driver Training?
Food
This is a self catered tour, bring your own food and drink requirements, we supply a gas BBQ for your use in camp. Carry 5 extra days of emergency food supplies
20 litres of water per person up to a total of 50 litres
Camping gear
You need to supply your own camping gear, this is a camping tour there is no accommodation option. Carry warm clothing at all times.
Facilities
There are pit toilets and showers at some of our camp sites, our guide vehicle is equipped with a shower for your use
